The traffic accident happened on April 2 at around 4:30 p.m. on Brovarsky Street near the Arena-Lviv stadium.
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Mercedes Vito minibus, a 62-year-old resident of Lviv, hit a pedestrian woman, also a 38-year-old Lviv woman, who stepped onto the roadway. As a result of the collision, the woman received bodily injuries and was taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, the investigators of the police department No. 2 of the Lviv district police department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a period of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years or without it.
An investigation is underway, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
