The traffic accident happened today, October 24, around 10:40 a.m. on Vyhovsky Street
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Volvo truck, a 32-year-old resident of Lviv, ran over an elderly pedestrian woman, whose identity is being established. As a result of the collision, the woman died from her injuries at the scene.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a period of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years or without it.
An investigation is underway, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
