The accident occurred on 1 September, at around 19.40, at the intersection of Zelena Street and Petrushevych Square in Lviv.
As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, a car Audi A3 driven by a 41-year-old Lviv resident collided with a moped Honda Giorno driven by a 24-year-old resident of Lviv.
As a result of the accident, the moped driver was injured and hospitalised.
Investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
