A Ford SUV driver parked on Freedom Avenue in a spot reserved for people with disabilities.
To avoid responsibility, the man removed the license plates and covered the VIN number displayed under the windshield. The driver’s actions were recorded by surveillance cameras.
Patrol officers identified the vehicle’s license plates using the city’s Safety Center cameras and towed the vehicle to a special lot.
To retrieve his vehicle, he will need to receive the citation, pay for the towing service, and cover the storage costs at the lot.
