In Lviv, on the night leading to Sunday, patrollers recorded a curfew violator driving a Mercedes-Benz E 200. The driver ignored the police warning to stop and attempted to flee. During the escape, he caused the first collision at the intersection of Mechnykova and Kostya Levytskoho streets.
Afterwards, the offender tried to continue and soon caused a second collision, after which he finally stopped. Police officers detected signs of alcohol intoxication in the 25-year-old man, but he refused to be tested.
Reports were filed against the driver for causing traffic accidents, leaving the scene, failing to comply with stop requirements, and driving while showing signs of intoxication. Additionally, a penalty notice was issued due to the absence of necessary driving documents, and he was disqualified from driving the vehicle.
