The road accident occurred on 10 May around 19.00 on Chernivetska Street.
As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, a 52-year-old resident of Chernivtsi region, the driver of a Palxton Elite bus between Chernivtsi-Warsaw, hit a 28-year-old woman from Lviv. As a result of the accident, the woman was injured and taken to hospital.
Investigators opened a criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
The police are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
