The traffic accident happened on May 6 at 10:50 a.m. on Ivan Franko Street.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Skoda Kodiaq, a 25-year-old resident of the Kherson region, ran over a 66-year-old woman from Lviv who was getting off the tram. As a result of the accident, the woman was injured and taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
