The driver, in order to avoid responsibility, offered illegal benefits to the patrolmen, so now he also faces a criminal charge
Yesterday afternoon, Lviv patrol officers spotted a Skoda Fabia vehicle on Dvirtseva Square, the driver of which parked the car in violation of traffic rules.
The law enforcement officers notified the 50-year-old driver of his responsibility for the offense. During the consideration of the case, the Lviv man began to demand that the patrol officers show the video recording of the offense.
Approaching the official car, the citizen put money in the amount of 300 hryvnias into the interior. The inspectors warned the man of criminal liability. The citizen said that he knew about her, but continued to insist that the police did not issue a warrant against him and took the money.
The patrol called an investigative team to the scene, which seized the funds in the presence of an expert and witnesses. Despite the criminal liability under Art. 369 (Offering or giving an illegal benefit to an official) of the Criminal Code, the patrol officers issued a resolution to the driver under Part 1 of Art. 122 (Violation of the rules of stopping/parking) of the Criminal Procedure Code.
