Identity of attacker on police officer during incident established in Lviv

In Lviv, the authorities have established the identity of the man who, during an incident, attacked a police officer responsible for maintaining public order. The incident is being investigated by the National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine.

Investigators of the National Police have launched a pre-trial investigation under Part 2 of Article 345 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – threat or violence against a law enforcement officer. Police officers have established the identity of the attacker, and a decision is currently being made on whether to notify him of suspicion.

Separately, the Security Service of Ukraine is conducting a pre-trial investigation under Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during a special period. All materials collected by the police while documenting the incident have been handed over to the SSU to be added to the materials of the criminal proceedings.
