In Lviv and the region, networks of illegal distribution of counterfeit electronic cigarettes and related liquids have been uncovered. During the 15 conducted searches, over 800 electronic cigarettes and nearly 14,000 containers with liquids were seized, along with more than 2,200 other tobacco products. The total value of the seized products is estimated at over 2.7 million UAH.
The operation was carried out by the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office in collaboration with the Strategic Investigations Department of the Lviv Region of the National Police of Ukraine. During the searches, memory cards, laptops, mobile phones, and payment terminals, as well as a substantial amount of cash, were also seized.
The illegal retail distribution of products was conducted under the guise of official trade through two networks of specialised shops in Lviv and the region, which are located in various districts, including Drohobych, Novoyavorivsk, Novyi Rozdil, Sheptytskyi, Sokal, and Stryi.
