High Fire Danger in Lviv from 17th to 19th April

On 17th-19th April, high fire danger, class 4, is forecasted for Lviv, as reported by the Lviv Regional Centre for Hydrometeorology. The city council urges residents to adhere to fire safety regulations.

The Department for Civil Protection and Territorial Defence reminds us of the fines for unauthorised burning of dry vegetation. For citizens, these range from 3,060 to 6,120 UAH, while for officials — from 15,300 to 21,420 UAH. Such burning in reserve areas is especially severely punished, attracting fines between 6,120 and 12,240 UAH.

During wartime, such actions can be classified as sabotage, entailing criminal liability. Residents are also encouraged to call ‘101’ and ‘102’ if they witness burning or setting fire to dry vegetation.
