Two attempts to bribe the police by car passengers have been recorded in Lviv.
On Kulparkivska Street, patrol officers stopped a BMW 528i driver for a traffic violation. It was found that the 55-year-old driver was deprived of his driving license and showed signs of alcohol intoxication. The Drager device showed 2.39 per mille. The passenger offered 10,000 hryvnias to avoid administrative charges. The money was placed on the seat of the patrol vehicle, but the driver received all the necessary protocols, and the passenger faces criminal liability.
The second incident occurred on the Ternopil — Lviv — Rava-Ruska highway. During the process of issuing administrative paperwork to a driver of a VAZ 21099, the passenger placed 1,000 hryvnias in the patrol car to persuade the police officers to let them go. In both cases, an investigative team was involved.
