
In a residential building on Valova Street in Lviv, belongings in one of the rooms caught fire, causing heavy smoke. The incident was reported today at 08:32 to the Rescue Service.
Fire and rescue units from Lviv were dispatched to the scene. When the firefighters arrived, flames were already bursting out of a fourth-floor window. As established by the rescuers, household items were burning over an area of about 15 sq. m.
Due to the smoke, rescuers used special equipment to lead a woman and a child from the building into the fresh air.
The fire was contained at 08:49 and fully extinguished at 08:56. Specialists are currently establishing the causes and circumstances of the blaze.
