A sudden conflict on Horodotska Street in Lviv resulted in one man being stabbed. The perpetrator has been arrested, while the victim remains hospitalized.
According to law enforcement, on December 14, around 10:40 p.m., a 41-year-old resident of Khmelnytskyi region stabbed a 20-year-old man from Volyn region in the chest and fled the scene. The victim, suffering from a penetrating chest wound, was rushed to the hospital, where he is currently under medical supervision.
The investigation involved criminal police operatives, detectives, and officers from Lviv Region Police Department No. 1, as well as criminal investigation and analysis teams from the Lviv Police Directorate. Using footage from the “Safe Lviv Region” surveillance system, law enforcement identified the suspect’s location and apprehended him.
Preliminary findings reveal that a sudden conflict between the two men led to the violent act.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Intentional Serious Bodily Injury), which carries a penalty of five to eight years in prison.
The investigation is ongoing.
