Police in Lviv have detained a man suspected of murdering an acquaintance.
The incident occurred on July 13 at 23:15 in a rented apartment on Varshavska Street. An investigative team and other police services in the Lviv region worked at the scene. **It has been established** that during the consumption of alcoholic beverages, a conflict arose between two men. During the conflict, a 33-year-old resident of the Sambir district inflicted seven stab wounds on a 32-year-old Lviv resident, which led to the victim’s death before the ambulance arrived.
The police detained the perpetrator under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Investigators informed the detainee of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 115 (Premeditated Murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article’s sanction provides for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of seven to fifteen years.
A pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and soon the court will choose a preventive measure for the suspect.
