
In Lviv, law enforcement officers have detained a 31-year-old man suspected of acquiring and storing psychotropic substances with the intent to distribute. This city resident has previously had legal issues, particularly for theft and drug-related offences.
The arrest took place on 31 March on Ivana Franka Street. Police seized a zip-lock bag containing a substance resembling PVP from the suspect, which was sent for examination. Operatives from the criminal police, investigators, and other services of Police Department No. 2 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2, under the procedural guidance of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office, uncovered the perpetrator.
The man has been notified of suspicion of committing a criminal offence under part 3 of article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty for this crime is imprisonment for up to twelve years with confiscation of property. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
