A 31-year-old driver was detained in Lviv after attempting to flee from police, disregarding several traffic regulations. The offence began when, after stopping for the preparation of administrative reports, he suddenly sped away from the scene.
The pursuit started on Luhanska Street, where officers noticed a vehicle pulling away rapidly, ignoring rules and posing a danger to other road users. The fugitive completely ignored police requests to stop.
Concerned motorists on Zelena Street helped bring him to a halt when he attempted to reverse away but ended up in an accident. Several reports were filed against the detainee: for failing to comply with stop requirements, creating a hazardous situation, and being involved in a traffic accident. Moreover, he was issued a notice for speeding.
