In Lviv, police have detained a suspect who brutally assaulted a man during a conflict.
The incident took place on August 17 on Patona Street in Lviv. A conflict arose between two city residents, aged 19 and 37. The younger participant inflicted several blows to the older man’s head. Medics diagnosed the victim with severe injuries, including brain contusion and hemorrhages.
Criminal police operatives and other services located the suspect. He was detained in accordance with article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Under the procedural guidance of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office, the detainee was notified of suspicion of committing a crime under part 1 of article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article’s sanction provides for a punishment of imprisonment for a term of five to eight years. The pre-trial investigation continues, and the court will determine a preventive measure.
