In Lviv, law enforcement officers have exposed a scheme allowing draft-age men to avoid leaving the country. According to the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a 40-year-old resident of the region was detained for organizing these operations.
Security services determined that in January of this year, the suspect developed a method for illegally crossing the state border. The cost of the service was 12,000 USD. The first step was to deliver the ‘client’ to Transcarpathia, where the potential crosser would receive further instructions.
The man was later detained while receiving the money, and the court satisfied the prosecutor’s request for detention. Investigative actions are currently underway to identify all involved parties.
