Police in Lviv investigate circumstances of conflict on route bus

On 7 August at around 10:50 a conflict broke out between passengers on a route bus in Okruzhna Street in Lviv, which is currently being investigated by police officers. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

During the journey on the minibus, an argument arose between a 52-year-old resident of Dnipropetrovsk Region and several other passengers, which escalated into a scuffle. The conflict later continued in the street and then inside a pharmacy.

Officers from the Patrol Police Department in Lviv Region and an investigative team from Police Department No. 1 of Lviv District Police Department No. 2 attended the scene. A community police officer issued administrative offence papers against the 52-year-old woman under Article 173 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences, which provides for liability for minor hooliganism.

The woman also told law enforcement officers that she had sustained bodily injuries during the conflict and filed a corresponding report. Police officers are currently interviewing all participants and witnesses, and establishing the sequence of events and the circumstances of the incident.

Once the inquiry is complete, law enforcement officers will provide a legal assessment of the actions of all those involved in the conflict.
