A minibus driver in the locality of Malekhiv violated the Highway Code, for which he was stopped by patrol officers who then held a preventative conversation with him.
While monitoring social media, patrol officers found a video showing a minibus crossing a solid lane marking and continuing to drive along the hard shoulder within the built-up area of Malekhiv.
Road safety unit inspectors identified the driver and stopped the vehicle. In addition to issuing the administrative penalty for the offence, the law enforcement officers held a preventative conversation with the driver about complying with the Highway Code and the safe carriage of passengers.
Patrol officers urge all road users to strictly observe the Highway Code and to show mutual courtesy on the road.
