In the town of Morshyn in the Stryi district, a fire broke out in a flat in a five-storey residential building, during which firefighters rescued a woman. Information about the blaze was received by the Rescue Service “101” on 17 July at 10:07.
The fire started in a flat on the third floor of a building on 50th Anniversary of UPA Street. When the firefighters arrived at the scene, smoke was pouring from the flat’s windows and the stairwell was also filled with smoke.
During the search inside the dwelling, firefighters found the owner of the flat, born in 1954. The woman was led out into the fresh air and handed over to medics.
The fire involving household items was contained at 10:15 and fully extinguished at 10:17. A total of 5 firefighters and 1 unit of specialised equipment were involved in tackling the blaze.
