In Mostysk, a woman was injured as a result of a road accident – the police are establishing the circumstances of the incident
The traffic accident happened on August 18, around 2:00 p.m., on Adam Mickiewicz Street in Mostysk.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Fiat Doblo, a 56-year-old local resident, collided with a Ford Galaxy 1.9 TDI driven by a 46-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Yavoriv district. After the collision, the Fiat Doblo drove onto the sidewalk and hit a pedestrian, a 46-year-old resident of the area.
As a result of the accident, the pedestrian was injured and taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Yavoriv district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
