In Novoyavorivsk, on Verbytskoho Street, firefighters helped medics reach an 80-year-old woman who had not been in contact for a long time and was not opening the door of her flat.
The Rescue Service received the call on the afternoon of 28 June. As the flat was on the seventh floor of a nine-storey building, the firefighters used an extension ladder to climb up to the balcony and provided police access to the property.
Inside, they found the elderly woman lying on the kitchen floor. Medics assessed her condition as serious. The firefighters carefully transported the casualty in a special rescue stretcher to the emergency medical vehicle.
After receiving first aid, the woman was taken to Novoyavorivsk Central District Hospital.
