The local resident aged 61 was exposed by criminal police operatives jointly with investigators of the Police Department No. 2 of the Stryi District Police Department, under the procedural supervision of the Stryi District Prosecutor’s Office.
The police documented several facts of sale of prohibited substances by the offender and, during an authorized search, found and seized from him drug-containing pills “Subutex” and “Amphetamine”, electronic scales, a significant amount of money in different currencies, proceeds from illegal activities and other material evidence.
The issue of serving the offender a notice of suspicion of committing a criminal offense stipulated by Part 1 and Part 2 of Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) is being settled. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is imprisonment for up to ten years with confiscation of property.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and the court will soon choose a measure of restraint.
