Shooter from Café to Stand Trial in Novyi Rozdil

In Novyi Rozdil, a café visitor opened fire during a conflict that occurred on 30 January at around 17:00. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the establishment’s entrance door and window were damaged.

As law enforcement officers discovered, one of the visitors, being inebriated, behaved aggressively and used foul language. The waiter and the café owner escorted him outside, but the man attempted to return, firing several shots from a Flobert revolver.

The police detained a 43-year-old resident of one of the district’s villages, confiscating the weapon from him. The pre-trial investigation has been completed, and the indictment has been sent to court. For his actions, the accused faces imprisonment for a term of three to seven years.
