Last evening in the village of Pasiky-Zubrytski, Lviv district, vigilant citizens helped stop a drunk driver, ensuring road safety. The complainant reported that the driver of a Renault Logan was recklessly driving into oncoming traffic, creating dangerous situations.
Demonstrating responsibility, the citizens blocked the offender with their vehicles and called the police.
Upon arrival, officers detected clear signs of intoxication in the driver. A Drager test revealed a blood alcohol level of 1.2‰. Additionally, the Renault showed damage consistent with a recent accident. The driver admitted to hitting a truck between the villages of Shpylychyna and Bibrka and fleeing the scene.
Police identified the other party involved, the owner of a Volvo FM450 truck. The 60-year-old Renault Logan driver was issued three citations:
- for driving under the influence,
- for causing an accident,
- for fleeing the scene of the accident.
