At the Rava-Ruska checkpoint in the Lviv region, border guards prevented the illegal movement of cash across the border.
During the inspection of the Mercedes minibus, which was followed to Ukraine by a 43-year-old native of the Donetsk region, the border guards together with the customs officers found 800 thousand hryvnias. The woman hid the money among her personal belongings in a bag.
A report was drawn up on this fact. Cash in the amount of almost 400,000 hryvnias was seized by customs officials, the rest – 10,000 euros, according to the NBU rate, was returned to citizens.
