At the Shegyna checkpoint in the Lviv region, the state border guards did not allow a 35-year-old Ukrainian to enter Poland.
In order to cross the border, in addition to a passport, a resident of Zaporozhye provided a border control inspector with a military ID with a note of temporary unfitness, which was not certified in accordance with the established procedure. Also, the man was unable to present a certificate from the military medical commission, referring to an error by the military commissariat. Realizing that the documents submitted for verification were not enough to cross the border, the man tried to “solve” the issue by bribery. The border outfit refused the offer of a $500 bribe.
Based on this fact, a notification of the commission of a criminal offense under Art. 369 of the Criminal Code “Offering or providing an unlawful benefit to an official.”
