Today, during the day, border guards together with customs officers prevented three attempts of illegal importation of goods at the Shegina checkpoint. All three drivers directed the car to the “green corridor”, thus testifying to the absence of prohibited goods and objects, and those that are subject to mandatory declaration.
A 66-year-old resident of Ternopil followed the Mercedes minibus to enter Ukraine. Based on the analysis and risk assessment, the vehicle was sent for additional inspection. During a joint inspection with operatives and customs officials, the border guard found 10 autonomous car heaters.
Another Mercedes driver was stopped for a check a few minutes later. During the control, the inspection team discovered the goods, which were being moved with concealment. In the luggage compartment, a 45-year-old man tried to import 12 pieces of Starlink satellite systems into Ukraine.
The third Mercedes driver, a 56-year-old resident of the Ternopil region, reported that he was moving passengers and personal belongings. However, during the check in the luggage compartment of the car, inspectors found 42 items of new clothes.
According to these facts, the customs officers drew up protocols. Undeclared goods were removed according to the established procedure, their value is established.
