In this way, the man intended to “help” his brother, who has no legal grounds for crossing the border, to leave for Poland.
In order to “solve” the issue of illegal crossing of the state border, the man offered the border guard of the “Shegin” department of the Lviv detachment an illegal benefit in the amount of 1,500 US dollars, to which he was categorically refused.
During urgent investigative actions, within the framework of criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 369 and Part 1 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code, an attempt to illegally cross the state border and the fact of providing an illegal benefit to a serviceman of the “Sheghina” department were documented by a joint interdepartmental group consisting of officers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the Lviv border detachment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces “Zahid”, investigators of the Yavoriv Department of the State Police of Lviv Oblast, under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Specialized Military Prosecutor’s Office and defense sphere of the Western region.
The perpetrator was detained by law enforcement officers in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine. Investigations are ongoing.
