At the Krakivets border crossing on the border with Poland, border guards of the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment, together with the detachment’s operatives and customs officers, uncovered two attempts to illegally move tobacco products across the state border.
During an in-depth inspection of two MAN lorries driven by 31-year-old and 57-year-old residents of Lviv region, inspectors found concealed cigarettes in the instrument panels and the backs of the passenger seats of the vehicles.
In one of the lorries, 120 packs of tobacco products were found, and in the other a further 150 packs. According to the drivers, they were transporting the goods from Lviv to Poland for subsequent sale.
