At the Shehyni border crossing point, guards from the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment stopped a 2020 Audi, which turned out to be listed in an international search in the Interpol database.
During document checks on the vehicle, which was leaving Ukraine, the Interpol database was triggered. It was established that since May 2026 the vehicle has been listed as stolen and wanted by law enforcement agencies of the Kingdom of Sweden.
It was also established that this car entered Ukraine a few months before information about it was entered into the international database as stolen. The driver was a 35-year-old resident of Ternopil region.
The border guards informed the Interpol National Central Bureau in Kyiv about the discovery of the car, where it was confirmed that the Audi is listed as wanted. The vehicle was then handed over to National Police officers for further checks and procedural action.
