At the Shehyni border crossing point, border guards of the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment identified a Ukrainian citizen who was wanted by law enforcement.
During border control, a 22-year-old resident of Ternopil region, who was travelling to Ukraine, attracted attention after one of the databases was triggered. Checks showed that since July 2026 the man had been wanted by law enforcement agencies in Ternopil region.
According to the border guards, he is suspected of committing a criminal offence under Part 1 of Article 122 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional infliction of bodily harm of medium severity.
The border guards informed representatives of the National Police of Ukraine about the wanted man being identified. After the necessary procedures were carried out, the man was handed over to the police for further procedural action.
