At the Shehyni border crossing point in Lviv region, border guards of the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment discovered a car that was on an international wanted list.
During the inspection of the vehicle documents, the Interpol database was triggered. It was established that the Mercedes car had been stolen in Germany and had been listed on the international wanted register since 2024.
The car was driven by a 65-year-old resident of Odesa region, who was entering Ukraine. The border guards informed the Interpol National Central Bureau in Kyiv, where it was confirmed that the vehicle had been entered into the stolen vehicles register.
The discovered Mercedes was handed over to officers of the National Police for further clarification of the circumstances.
