A road traffic collision occurred on 26 October at around 18:30 on the Lviv – Lutsk highway in the town of Radekhiv. As a result of the collision, the driver of the car was injured.
According to preliminary information from law enforcement officers, a Citroen Berlingo, driven by a 58-year-old resident of Lviv region, and a scheduled BAZ bus driven by a 58-year-old resident of Volyn region collided.
As a result of the crash, the Citroen driver sustained bodily injuries and was taken to hospital.
Investigators from Police Station No.1 of the Sheptytskyi District Police Department have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road safety rules). The article provides for a penalty of up to three years’ restriction of liberty with disqualification from driving vehicles for up to three years.
Police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
