On the night of October 11, a tragic road accident involving two minors occurred in the town of Radekhiv, Lviv region. The incident took place around midnight on Vytkivska Street.
According to preliminary reports from law enforcement, a 17-year-old resident of Sheptytskyi district, who was riding an ADVANCE 300 motorcycle, lost control and crashed into a fence. The motorcycle veered off the road as a result.
The rider sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. His passenger, a 16-year-old boy from Radekhiv, suffered bodily injuries and was hospitalized for further treatment.
Police in the Lviv region have opened a criminal proceeding under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules resulting in the death of a person).
Investigators from the juvenile crime investigation department are currently determining the full circumstances of the incident.
