It was established that the driver of the other car was in a state of intoxication.
The road accident occurred on 27 October, around 22.00, on Peremyshlska Street in Sambir.
Law enforcement officers have preliminarily established that a Skoda Octavia driven by a 20-year-old resident of Sambir and a Fiat Doblo driven by a 43-year-old resident of a village in Drohobych district collided.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Fiat Doblo was injured and hospitalised.
It was established that the driver of the Skoda Octavia was driving the vehicle in a state of intoxication.
Investigators of the Sambir District Police Department opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286-1 (Violation of the rules of road safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles while intoxicated) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article provides for imprisonment for up to three years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of three to five years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
