A woman and her two minor children were injured in a road accident in Sambor – the police are investigating the circumstances of the incident
The traffic accident happened on November 15, around 3:30 p.m., on Shevchenko Street in Sambor.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, the driver of the Peugeot 607, a 63-year-old resident of Sambor, hit three local residents – a 35-year-old woman and her two minor children – a seven-year-old girl and a four-year-old boy.
As a result of the accident, the woman and children were injured and taken to a medical facility.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial unit of the police of Lviv Oblast opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty stipulated by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
