In the village of Cherneve in Yavoriv district, a combine harvester on the grounds of a private farm caught fire. The Rescue Service “101” received a report about the fire on 28 July at 11:36.
Firefighters from the town of Mostyska were dispatched to the scene. On arrival, they established that the engine compartment of the combine was on fire and that there was a risk of the flames spreading to nearby buildings.
The fire was contained at 11:57 and fully extinguished at 11:59. The firefighters prevented the complete destruction of the agricultural machinery and stopped the fire from spreading to two residential houses and an outbuilding located nearby.
The cause and circumstances of the fire are being established by specialists.
