On 16 July at around 16:00 in one of the villages of the Drohobych district, a road traffic collision involving a bus and a motorcycle occurred. The incident was reported by the Drohobych District Police Department.
According to preliminary police information, a BAZ bus, driven by a 66-year-old local resident, collided with a Forte Cross motorcycle ridden by a 21-year-old resident of the same village.
As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist sustained bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility.
Investigators of Police Station No. 2 of the Drohobych District Police Department have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road traffic safety rules). The article provides for a restriction of liberty for up to three years with disqualification from driving vehicles for the same period.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
