On the evening of 12 July, a fatal road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist occurred in one of the villages of Drohobych district.
According to preliminary police reports, a 40-year-old local resident lost control of his Suzuki motorcycle, fell onto the carriageway and sustained injuries incompatible with life. The man died at the scene.
Investigators from the Drohobych District Police Department have opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine in relation to a breach of road traffic safety rules or the operation of transport by persons driving vehicles.
Police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident, the Drohobych District Police Department reported.
