In the village of Halytske in the Zolochiv area, firefighters saved a residential house from fire

In the village of Halytske in Zolochiv district, a fire broke out in a single-storey residential house, during which rescuers prevented its complete destruction and the spread of the flames to an adjacent outbuilding.

According to the Rescue Service, on 15 June at 20:19 a report was received on “101” about a residential house on fire in the village of Halytske. Firefighters from the town of Zolochiv were dispatched to the scene.

By the time the emergency crews arrived, the roof and wooden ceiling of the single-storey wattle-and-daub house were ablaze, and there was a risk that the flames could spread to a nearby building.

The fire was contained at 21:09 and fully extinguished at 21:51. Eight rescuers and two units of specialised equipment were involved in tackling the blaze. Thanks to their actions, the fire did not spread to the outbuilding and the residential house was not completely destroyed.

The causes and circumstances of the fire are being established. No one was injured in the incident.
