
In the village of Koti in Yavoriv district, Lviv region, an 82 mm mortar shell dating back to the Second World War was discovered. The dangerous object was reported to the rescue service.
An officer-rescuer of the local community arrived at the scene and arranged for the cordoning off of the hazardous area, preventing people from entering the potentially dangerous site.
The pyrotechnic team of the Lviv Mobile Rapid Response Rescue Centre of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine removed the munition and destroyed it in the prescribed manner.
Rescuers remind the public: if you discover a suspicious object, do not approach it, touch it or attempt to move it. You should retreat to a safe distance and immediately report the find by calling 101 or 102.
