
In the early hours of 7 August, a road traffic collision occurred in the village of Lopushna in Lviv district, in which the motorcyclist and passenger were injured. The police reported this incident.
At around 00:20, a 22-year-old resident of Lviv district, riding a Tekken 250 motorcycle, is preliminarily believed to have lost control, veered off the road and the vehicle then fell.
As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist and his 24-year-old passenger, also a resident of Lviv district, sustained bodily injuries. Both were taken to hospital.
Investigators from Police Station No. 2 of Lviv District Police Department No. 2 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of road traffic safety rules. The article provides for a penalty of up to three years’ restriction of liberty with disqualification from driving for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
