The traffic accident happened on August 13, around 10:40 p.m., on the Chervonograd-Brody highway in the village of Novy Vytkiv, Chervonograd district.
As previously determined by law enforcement officers, there was a collision between a ZAZ car driven by an 18-year-old resident of one of the villages of Chervonograd District and a Volvo truck driven by a 33-year-old resident of one of the villages of Zolochiv District.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the passenger car received bodily injuries and was hospitalized in intensive care.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Chervonohrad district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
