In the village of Pidhorodne in the Zolochiv district, a fire broke out at night in a metal-profile hangar. A report of the blaze reached the rescuers at 01:26 on 21 October.
By the time the firefighters arrived, the building’s roof structure was on fire over an area of about 50 sq. m, as well as a tractor-loader over an area of approximately 10 sq. m.
Thanks to the prompt actions of the fire service, they managed to prevent the destruction by fire of two hangars and around 20 tonnes of soya stored at the site.
The fire was contained at 02:10 and fully extinguished at 02:34. Specialists are establishing the causes and circumstances of the blaze.
