In the village of Rudkivtsi in the Stryi district, a farm outbuilding and a Daewoo Nexia car caught fire during the night. Firefighters managed to prevent the flames from spreading to two neighbouring structures.
The rescue service received the report of the fire at 03:07 on 14 October. By the time firefighters arrived, the blaze had completely engulfed the farm building and the vehicle, and there was a risk that nearby buildings could also catch fire.
Firefighters immediately began extinguishing the flames and did not allow the fire to spread to adjacent structures, thereby saving two nearby buildings. Their work was complicated by the presence of fuel and lubricants and gas cylinders in the premises, which increased the danger and the risk of the fire spreading further.
The fire was contained at 05:11 and fully extinguished at 06:28. Firefighters from the towns of Novyi Rozdil and Khodoriv were involved in tackling the blaze.
