
In the village of Solonka in Lviv district, a 71-year-old pedestrian was injured after being hit by a car. The incident was reported by the Lviv Region Police.
The road traffic accident occurred on 6 June at 11:27. Preliminary findings indicate that a 61-year-old Lviv resident, driving a VAZ-2101 car, ran into a pedestrian, a 71-year-old resident of Lviv.
As a result of the accident, the male pedestrian sustained bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility.
Investigators of Police Station No.3 of Lviv District Police Department No.2 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of road safety regulations. The article provides for a penalty of up to three years of restricted liberty with disqualification from driving vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
