In the early hours of 16 September in the village of Spasiv, Sheptytskyi district, there was a garage fire. At around 02:47, rescuers received a report of the blaze.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, the fire had engulfed the roof and ceiling of the garage over an area of 28 sq. m. Before the fire and rescue unit arrived, local residents had tried to extinguish the flames themselves, but without success.
Firefighters contained the fire at 03:32 and fully extinguished it at 03:48. Thanks to their intervention, they managed to prevent the destruction of three buildings and a car located nearby.
Firefighters from the town of Sokal and members of the local fire team from the village of Spasiv were involved in extinguishing the blaze. According to emergency services, no one was injured as a result of the incident.
